Old Cottage Dolls

This book chronicles the background of Margaret and Susi Fleischmann, who came to live in Rustington, Sussex, England, from their homeland of Czechoslovakia in 1939 and how they started their doll making business named Old Cottage Toys.
 

The second section of the book traces the development of their dolls from the early cloth examples, to the successful range of small, beautifully dressed costume dolls with moulded heads, which are now eagerly sought by collectors. The book includes identification of each Old Cottage Doll by description and colour photograph, a rarity guide, plus suggested methods of storage and repair.
